Day one of archery was a huge hit! We had 18 kids try out the equipment. Eight were inpatients staying here in the hospital, and ten popped into the event after their clinic appointments. We had to do some last-minute shuffling of our range to get us out of direct sunlight for our burn patients, but we adapted well and were able to find a space that worked for us! Your setup instructions were so thorough, and I was able to put things together very quickly. The kids all had a blast and each had their preferred activity between the three. I am so grateful that we were able to provide them with options to find the equipment that best suited their abilities and interest. Some of the kids just wanted to play without direction, but many listened to instruction well and their form and aim improved over the course of the event. It was fun to problem solve with the kids on how to adjust their form based on any physical limitations.

The plan is to do one event per month, though I may add a sporadic 1:1 therapy session as time permits.
